Proc Fiskal

Proc Fiskal is Joe Powers, a 25 year old Edinburgh based experimental electronic musician who since 2017 has released several EPs and two Albums with Hyperdub, with a few releases through other labels and his own bandcamp. His music draws from the sounds of uk dance music, internet culture, game OSTs and a multitude of influences all filtered though a hyper modernist electronic perspective. His debut album Insula (2018) explored grime and Uk club music filtered through phone recordings and the sounds of contemporary existence. He is working on his third album currently whilst continuing to tour as a DJ.

Siren Spine Sysex

Siren Spine Sysex is laden with an inner voice of sampled Gaelic, Irish and English Folk Music, contorted and imbued into the futurist body of modern pop and dance music styles. Proc Fiskals paternal grandfather Archie Fisher was active in the Scottish Folk revival of the 60s & his great aunt, the singer in iconic children's Folk group 'The Singing Kettle'. Drawing from this cultural baggage, this ’Caledonian antisyzygy’ of the constructed, earnest folk tradition he was raised under, beside the modernist dance music he makes, is what give SSS its context and sound.
